About Me

Hello to my fellow couponers. I am Jodi, mother of 6 children and Owner of Freetail Therapy.

I have 3 boys, and 3 girls. They are: Preston (boy – 2002), Owen (boy – 2003), Syra (girl – 2005), Jennica (girl – 2007), Liam (boy – 2009) and Trillian (girl – 2010). Yes, we did get our youngest child’s name from the book The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and if you are ever at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, stop by and say hi, we’ll have already bought you a drink.

My husband, Mark, and I have been married since July 22, 2006. He is my soul mate, and completes me, more than I could have ever imagined possible. He is the owner and writer for Dr. Wannacatchalot, an outdoorsy, fishing, camping, Frisbee golfing blog.

I am what you may call a tree-hugging hippie, who loves to wear heels. Ok, so you may have never used that term, but now you can! I am Pagan, I believe in multiple Gods and Goddesses, and I believe that all living things have a soul that should be thought of before we act. I understand that there are an overwhelming number of Christian Frugal Bloggers, and people tend to think I am Christian, just because I am a frugal blogger. My beliefs may be different than yours, but that does not mean that I am wrong. I feel that religion is personal, they are called religious beliefs, because each person believes differently. I live in a free country, where I am allowed to worship any Gods or Goddesses that I wish, as long as I harm none other. I ask that you do not preach your beliefs to me, and I shall not preach mine to you.

I try to be as natural as possible, while still getting a great deal, and I started couponing seriously in 2007, before that I would just use coupons when I remembered to, and boy was the budget TIGHT then! I have seen the huge amounts of brand name items that I could get for free by using coupons, and up until then, I had been buying store brand. Not that there is anything wrong with store brands, but once you start seeing the price differences between name brand items with coupons and store brand items which normally don’t have coupons, you are name brand driven. Now, even though I normally get name brand items, that doesn’t mean that I am brand specific, as a couponer, you don’t care what brands you use, as long as it was free, or really close to it (or even better, they pay YOU to take the stuff out of the store!) If I had to tell new couponers one thing, it would be that a stockpile is not built overnight. The first couple months of couponing are hard work, and time consuming, but eventually it becomes second nature and even addicting. Join me on the magic journey of couponing, and you too, will save a TON of money for your family!
