Uses for Toothpaste

Uses for Toothpaste

Like many things around your home, toothpaste is one of those things that can be used for many different things, not just for brushing teeth. We all know that toothpaste will help keep your mouth minty fresh and some of them can be used by people who also have clear braces on their teeth, but did you also know that toothpaste can help remove coffee table water rings? Check out the other unique uses for toothpaste below!

Clean Jewelry

Put a little bit of toothpaste on some tarnished jewelry and use a small brush (even and old toothbrush!) to gently scrub the piece. Rinse with water when finished cleaning and watch it shine like new!

Clean Your Hands

Toothpaste is good for helping with bad breath and cleaning your teeth but did you know it can do the same for your hands? Use a dap of toothpaste like soap and wash your hands after cutting up onion, fish, or any other smelly food. Your hands will be minty fresh!

Shine Your Shoes

Use some toothpaste and a towel to rub the scuff marks and dirt from your shoes. Wipe with a damp cloth afterwards and then dry. They will look shiny and brand new again!

Fill Nail Holes

If your toothpaste is white, and not gel based, you can use a small amount to fill nail holes from hanging pictures. It will cover them completely and unless your wall is a different color, you can’t even tell the hole was there.

Remove Crayon Marks

Did your little one attempt to be an artist all over your walls? Use a little dab of toothpaste on a towel and scrub the crayon marks off the walls. Make sure to test on a small area first to ensure that it won’t take off your paint.

Soothe a Minor Burn

If you got a minor burn (not one with an open wound), put a little toothpaste over it. The cool mint will soothe the burn and help with any stinging associated with it.

Whiten your nails

Have you have used a nail polish that stained your nails? Use a little bit of toothpaste on them to remove the stain and make your natural nails look amazing!

There are so many ways to use toothpaste, this is just the beginning. What are some ways that you use toothpaste, other than for brushing your teeth?
